Reported experience
According to the entry, the caller claimed to provide assistance to Visa and Mastercard users and knew the recipient's name. Knowing a name does not authenticate a caller, and the claimed affiliation is not independently verified.
The entry does not provide a reporting date or verify the number's current owner. The locality and name are reproduced from the report, not confirmed identification or an official contact recommendation. Confirm any claimed organisation through a contact channel obtained independently.
What to check about the assistance offered
The entry does not explain the assistance, who would provide it or whether it would cost anything. Visa and Mastercard were mentioned in the call; this does not establish their endorsement or show that the service is included with a card.
Questions to clarify a similar proposal include:
- What specific assistance is included, and which provider would be responsible?
- Is it presented as an existing card benefit or an additional subscription? What price, billing frequency and conditions would apply?
- Where can the terms and instructions for ending the service be read before accepting?
These questions do not imply a purchase or charge in this case. The entry provides no contract, statement charge or outcome of the contact.
Before sharing information, check the proposal with your financial institution through an independently obtained channel. Do not disclose passwords or sign-in codes. The BCRA's scam-prevention guide explains general precautions; it does not investigate or identify this number.
Editorial review: . This does not date the call or validate the service, caller or current number ownership.
