Pending-parcel email report: 134679665AR and related references

On 20 June 2022, a reader in Argentina reported an email in a personal Hotmail account claiming that a parcel was awaiting validation. The original article records the apparent sender as donotreply@fineartamerica.com.

This is an archive of the site's report and subsequent reader updates, not a current tracking service. A displayed email address does not prove who sent the message. The original article explicitly says it was unknown whether an account had been compromised or its address imitated.

The reported payment request

The message used the name Correo Argentino, reference 134679665AR and a charge written as “400 (Peso)”. In context, the report concerns Argentina, but that wording did not itself specify a currency code. It asked the recipient to confirm payment through a “Confirm here” link.

The reader said they had not ordered from the displayed domain, were not expecting such a delivery and could not find the reference in Correo Argentino's system. These are the reader's reported checks, not a tracking lookup performed for this translation. They did not click the payment link.

Verify a delivery through an independent route

Correo Argentino's security guidance advises against clicking suspicious messages or sharing information and directs users to its official site to verify a shipment. Do not pay solely because an unexpected email mentions a parcel.
