Liliana Matera electric kettle: a user's experience

Why I wanted an electric kettle

For people who enjoy drinking mate, an electric kettle can be extremely convenient: you plug it in, and the temperature cut-off helps keep the water from being either boiling hot or too cold. Once I discovered how practical it was and how quickly it heated the water, I found it hard to return to heating a traditional kettle on the stove.

A couple of years before writing the original review, the building where I lived had a gas outage that lasted several months. I bought a white Atma electric kettle at Tío Musa. At the time, price was my priority: it was the cheapest option. Unfortunately, it did not last long — even saying a year would be generous.

Choosing the Liliana Matera

I was unsure about buying another kettle from a different brand. I knew I wanted another electric kettle, but I wanted one that looked attractive and would last longer.

While comparing options on Mercado Libre, I liked the design of the black Liliana Matera electric kettle. I found it much more attractive than my previous one.

I decided to buy it, and it arrived the same day. It looked very nice; the next step was to try it and see how it performed.

My experience at the time of the review

By the time I wrote the original review, I had owned it for more than three years and it was still working perfectly. I considered it a very good purchase. Sometimes spending a little more is worthwhile, even though this was not one of the most expensive kettles.

In our household, it had proved very durable despite being used every day, several times a day, because we all love drinking mate.
